Which strength setting to select for the DUAL chinstrap?
The DUAL chinstrap allows you to change the strength of your helmet’s chinstrap to adapt the helmet to the hazards anticipated in your work environment.

Set the chinstrap strength according to the risk analysis carried out for planned use of the helmet:
Risk of helmet coming off in a fall: chinstrap strength set to greater than 50 kg
risk of strangulation if helmet is snagged: chinstrap strength set to less than 25 kg
- Warning: the helmet's chinstrap strength is factory-set to greater than 50 kg.
In addition, the chinstrap strength setting also determines your helmet’s certification:
EN 12492: 2012 standard
(Climbing and mountaineering helmet standard)
For work at height, the EN 12492 standard requires a chinstrap strength setting greater than 50 kg
EN 397: 2012 standard
(Helmet for industrial use)
For work on the ground, the EN 397 standard requires a chinstrap strength setting less than 25 kg
