Remember: any excessive pull on the MAESTRO’s handle can cause a loss of control.
To secure the rope against possible loss of control, attach an ASAP with ASAP’SORBER AXESS or ABSORBICA L57 energy absorber to the auxiliary attachment hole.
The ASAP must be installed on the rope strand between the MAESTRO and the load.
WARNING: this technique is not equivalent to a backup belay; a backup belay must be set up using a system that is totally independent of the work system.
