Video – Using a Rope in Addition to Via Ferrata Lanyards

Belaying with a 15-meter rope in addition to using energy-absorbing lanyards on a via ferrata can help limit the fall distance of the second, especially in vertical or difficult sections, or if there is a risk of hitting an obstacle during a fall. The team must set up the same as for climbing, with a leader who knows how to belay the second. Refer to the REVERSO Instructions for Use for more details about the belay method used in this video.
