Petzl UK Tour London – Sheffield - Kendal

We’re delighted to be bringing the spirit and ‘joie de vivre’ of Petzl’s RocTrips to the UK this Autumn!

We’ll be departing Petzl HQ near Grenoble in early November with our caravan in tow to make the long journey across France to visit 3 of the UK’s premier climbing walls, finishing our trip by parking the caravan at Kendal Mountain Festival’s Basecamp.

Who Are We Bringing Along?

Travelling with us or joining us at the venues are a select team of Petzl athletes who will be helping us to understand the complexities of our UK visit (such as driving on the wrong side of the road, motorway service pasties and the eccentric english grading system….. sacre bleu!)

Activities

Along the way we’ll be asking the team to set boulder problems and routes for you to compete and play on; Offering GRIGRI Tour hands on sessions and slack races; film presentations; athlete signings; t-shirt giveaways and competitions; turning out the lights for our infamous headtorch climbing sessions and offering advice and tips from our team.
At Kendal Mountain Festival’s Basecamp we’ll also be parking our caravan as a base to offer advice, music and providing portraits from Philippe Ribière

The Venues

London

The Castle Climbing Centre – Saturday 11 November
Based in the capital and located inside a unique Castle (!) this is one of the busiest walls in the UK and host to many London based wads.

Sheffield

The Foundry – Monday 13 November
One of the original walls in the UK and based in the beating heart of UK climbing with a vibrant Sheffield/Peak District scene.

Kendal

Kendal Climbing Wall – Wednesday 15 November
Uniquely located at the foot of the Lake District Fells and inside an old milk drying plant, if it’s raining in The Lakes this is the place to go!

Kendal Mountain Festival – 16-19 November
Quite simply, the world’s leading mountain and film festival. We're parking our custom Airstream right at Base Camp!
