Une passion : le ski de pente raide
Hi my name is @vivianbruchez I'm a #petzlathlete from France. I'm a steep skier and mountain guide from Chamonix. After competing in alpine skiing, ski cross, and freeriding, I found my way into steep skiing. It's the perfect balance between my favorite activities. Living in Chamonix shaped my vision of skiing, and allowed me to focus on exploring new lines. This week I will share my stories and pictures with the Petzl community. Enjoy and get inspired! #Viviantakeover Photo : @kilianjornet #accesstheinaccessible
La face nord du Chardonnet, une première
The north face of Chardonnet, November 2012, This line was the beginning of my career in steep skiing. It was the first, ever, ski descent of the Éperon Migot (Climb #43 in Gaston Rebuffat’s “Mont Blanc Massif - One Hundred Finest Routes"). I was with @kilianjornet and it was the perfect partnership. High up in the sky, I had the feeling of being in the right place, at the right moment, with the right partner. From that moment on I decided to push my skiing into #exploration. #VivianTakeover Photo: @sebmontazstudio #accesstheinaccessible

L'ouverture de la "Vire de Lune"
14 march 2016 Aiguille du Chardonnet 3824m, "La Vire de Lune" (The Moon Ledge) 850m, 55 degrés, two alpine pitches ( 80 degrés, M4). Adventure shared with @kilianjornet on skis A place that we know well because we skied it on December 25th 2015. A long and intense journey at the heart of red granit towers which guard the summit. « La Vire de Lune », at the center of the face, is a beautiful aerial passage, clearly magical. A line out of time, punctuated by "lunar" colors and an infinite sea of clouds. We supported ourselves mutually, even if you ski unroped/solo, I still felt a truly strong team spirit. I was carried by the serene and knowing smile of my mate. We shared our experience of a unique moment. We savored the last day lights gripping the mountain with our edges. The complexity returns to the various exposure of the line, to the lengths of mountain climbing and in the search of the route. The passion carries the man to realize his dreams, to draw like a child his ideas on the mountain. Text from @vivianbruchez #petzlteam Athlete Photo by @kilianjornet #accesstheinaccessible
À l’aventure au Tibet
Building my own Mountain... In the background, Pumori 7161m, Tibet September 2016, #Everest region Summer 2016 I had the chance to be part of the team of @kilianjornet on his project "Summits Of My Life." I was there to film and support him around the world I was with him on top of Denali, July 2014, Aconcagua December 2014. This summer the condition were too hard and too dangerous to attempt the summit of #Everest. Kilian was very intelligent and always made the right decision at the right moment. It was a intense and powerful experience for me, and has left a last impression on my skiing career. Text and photo from @vivianbruchez #petzlteam athlete
Humilité et respect
Mother Nature or Monster Mountain? On top of Aiguille du Midi. I was born and live in Chamonix, that naturally shaped my vision of mountaineering and skiing technical, physical, sometimes extreme. In Chamonix there is always something new, new lines, new sports, new disciplines, a new vision. It's hard to find the balance between big achievements and a normal day. But I'm sure with humility, respect for the mountain and other realisations there is a way to keep going for a long time. Text and photo @vivianbruchez66
Une nouvelle ligne : "Moustache"
❄️ Perspectives ❄️ Friday 10 March 2017 With @enakgavaggio, @jonathan.charlet and 📷 Bertrand Delapierre, We did a first ski descent on the Mont Blanc massif we called " Moustache " I it is 400m long and 55 degrees steep. For more info keep following my adventure on @vivianbruchez This is the end of my takeover and I hope I have shared with the #petzl community my spirit and vision of skiing and mountaineering. The most important is not the performance, but the story behindthe people.
