Can I mount a VIZEN on a pre-2011 VERTEX helmet?

Unfortunately, Petzl does not authorize installation of a VIZEN protective shield onto a VERTEX helmet manufactured before 2011, as this shield was neither designed nor certified for this generation of helmets. In fact, the shield is not the right size, and there is no supporting surface for the head of the screw inside the helmet.
