On stands now, Climbing’s April issue features awards for the most esteemed climbing gear for spring 2015. Petzl re-designed our HIRUNDOS harness to be one of the most supple, comfortable, and lightweight sport and alpine climbing harnesses. The clean design is made possible by Petzl’s FUSEFRAME technology which produces a slim profile with tons of comfort. The HIRUNDOS uses Bluesign certified fabrics to reduce the environmental impacts of manufacturing.

“We at Petzl are very pleased to receive this recognition from Climbing. Each year Climbing’s editorial staff reviews hundreds of products from dozens of manufacturers. To be selected from among such competition is an honor, especially for both an updated line and a brand new product,” says Dave Hugar, Petzl America’s Marketing Director.

“Every product Petzl releases is the result of cumulative decades of effort by our research and development team to create a product that not only works, but also meets our own internal standards of quality, durability, and excellence.”

The CIRRO crashpad is part of Petzl’s entrance into the crashpad market and utilizes a one-piece hingless design. With thoughtful features for the modern boulderer, the CIRRO uses a triple-layer foam assembly specifically developed by Petzl for better protection. The adjustable shoulder and waist straps, as well as the zippered closure system bring a new level of practicality and comfort to the crashpad market.
