An essential component in your fall protection system, rely on the ASAP LOCK for everyday rope access applications. During normal use when moving along the rope, the device trails freely without the need for manual operation. In the event of a fall or uncontrolled descent (exceeding two meters per second), the device blocks the rope and stops the user. The integrated LOCK function allows the user to immobilize the device in order to reduce potential fall distance. The connection arm makes the system drop-resistant, so passing intermediate anchors is easier, and the safety catches simplify installation on the rope. In rescue scenarios, the ASAP LOCK must be used with the ASAP’SORBER AXESS energy absorber.

Description

Mobile fall arrester for rope:
- Stops falls and uncontrolled descents that exceed two meters per second
- Blocks on the rope even if grabbed during the fall
- Works on vertical, horizontal, or angled rope
- Compatible with ropes 10 to 13 mm in diameter
- Toothed wheel is effective on a variety of rope conditions (frozen or muddy ropes)
Compact and easy to use:
- Easy to install and remove at any point on the rope
- Moves up or down the rope without any manual operation
- Safety catches make the device easy to install and remove from the rope
- Connection arm makes the system drop resistant when passing intermediate anchors
- Integrated LOCK function allows the user to immobilize the device to reduce the potential fall distance and keeps the rope from being blown upwards in very windy conditions
Use in combination with:
- ASAP’SORBER AXESS energy absorber for use in two-person rescue scenarios, up to 250 kg
- ASAP’SORBER 20/40 energy absorber, for use with a person weighing up to 140 kg
ASAP LOCK can be used as a back-up belay device in a rope access system or as a primary belay device in a fall-arrest system
The ASAP LOCK is also available in pre-assembled kits for a ready-to-use solution, with ASAP’SORBER AXESS or ASAP’SORBER 20 or 40 and OK TRIACT-LOCK or Bm’D TRIACT-LOCK connectors
