Greater efficiency on rope ascents with FALCON ASCENT and TOP CROLL S
Some expert rope access workers use a combination of the FALCON ASCENT and TOP CROLL S, with a trick for connecting the fall arrest system.

Using a RING OPEN to fasten the FALCON ASCENT positions the CROLL as low as possible, for greater stroke length on rope ascents. In addition, for this central point of the harness where all system elements are connected, eliminating the chance of accidental opening is appreciated.
The harness can thus no longer be opened; to put it on, the belt and shoulder straps must be loosened as much as possible.
To gain even more efficiency for ascending, it is possible to connect the ASAP to both the textile sternal point (marked A), and the adjacent shoulder strap. This allows the ASAP carabiner to be slightly offset, to reduce interference with the rope and the CROLL and optimize rope glide.
WARNING: risk of death or serious injury if the ASAP is connected only to the shoulder strap!
In all cases, the ASAP carabiner must be attached to the sternal point marked A.
