Petzl RopeTrip Final Stages: Welcome to the Salt Lake City Library!

This April Petzl invites Rope Access Teams from around the world to Salt Lake City for Petzl RopeTrip 2016. Petzl RopeTrip is a chance for the global community of professional rope access workers and technicians to share their techniques, solutions, and experience. On April 2nd and 3rd three person teams will compete head-to-head in a competition of rope access skills on the walls of the Salt Lake City library.

This iconic and ultra-modern building, designed by Moshe Safdie, is more than a repository of books and computers: it reflects and engages the city's imagination and aspirations. With six floors, the library will provide unique obstacles for the teams to scale during the semi-finals and finals of Petzl RopeTrip. Moreover, this public place will make it possible for the public to watch the competition and cheer on the competitors!

Larger-Than-Life Street Art "When you're on the side of a building, 30 meters above the ground, attached to just a rope with nothing but air around you — it makes you feel small! And I love that feeling", says Mahn Kloix. This building is located in the town of Rillieux-la-Pape, France; it was donated to an artist residency in 2023 before its planned demolition.
