Oblique or vertical anchors and fall distance with ABSORBICA lanyards.

Choosing appropriate, well-positioned anchors contributes to user safety: certain anchors can increase the potential fall distance.

Energy absorbers are calibrated for a maximum fall distance of "twice the lanyard length" or 4 m maximum.

During a fall, if the connector can move along the anchor or if the anchor itself can move, the fall distance can exceed the allowed maximum.

Notes:

Even if your ABSORBICA lanyard can absorb the energy of a 4 meter fall with an "acceptable" impact force of less than 6 kN, such a fall is not harmless. At all times, it is recommended to reduce the fall distance as much as possible.

Examples:

The fall distance can exceed the allowed maximum.
