Error message appears during installation of OS by Petzl v3.1.541



Error message appears during installation of OS by Petzl v3.1.541:
"The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author."  

Solution 

  • Download last release of Adobe Air available here : https://get.adobe.com/air/
  • Install Adobe Air
  • Modify computer date with May 1st, 2018
  • Then install OS by Petzl
  • Restore the date of day
If it doesn’t work, send us following files at OS by Petzl support (os@petzl.com)

For Windows XP: 

  • C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\bitrock_installer.log  
  • C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\AIR\logs\Install.log  

For Windows Vista, 7 ou 8: 

  • C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\bitrock_installer.log
  • C:\Users\username\ AppData\Local\Adobe\Air\logs\Install.log  

For Mac OSX:

  • /tmp/bitrock_installer.log
  • For second file, make following instructions:
  • Open console from Applications/Utilitaires,
  • Select System.log from the log list on the left,
  • In the String Matching filter field, type Adobe AIR, 
  • Select all, and then copy and paste into a text file.
