Introducing the Petzl Technical Institute course offerings, designed to help users deepen their knowledge of Petzl equipment and how to use it with maximum efficiency and effectiveness in rope-access, work-at-height, and climbing applications.
Petzl Technical Institute (PTI) courses focus on Petzl solutions — a combination of products, technical information, and training — and feature classroom-style learning, hands-on experience, and drop-testing. All courses are delivered by top product specialists and industry-leading trainers and field experts. These courses will provide users with authoritative training on Petzl products such as the ASAP mobile fall arrester, the I’D and RIG industrial rope descenders / belay devices, and more.

Petzl I'D / RIG - Workshop

Objectives:
• Discover the multi-function I’D and RIG industrial rope ascender/descenders and their proper methods of use
• Explore the benefits of the I’D/RIG through hands-on experience and drop-test simulations
• Compare the I’D/RIG to others systems when used in rescue and descent control applications

• Work-at-height and rescue professionals
• Tower and rope access technicians, trainers, assessors, and supervisors

Prerequisites:

Tree Care Basics: Arboriculture on Rope

PPE Inspection: Competent Person
3 days, $400
Objectives
• Cover all aspects of care, maintenance, and inspection of personal protective equipment
• Learn practical techniques and procedures required to conduct thorough examinations, produce inspection reports, and specify corrective action when needed
• Identify considerations for creating a management system for tracking life-safety equipment
• Prepare for and take a written and practical exam

• Users and managers of equipment for activities at height (recreational climbing, aerial courses, high-angle rescue, industrial rope access, and fall protection, etc.)
