Save the granite from mining !

In the area around Mayerhoffen, many climbing sites are threatened by the possible expansion of rock quarries. Certain classic sectors are also threatened with closure by their owners. The event would therefore be organized to support the association that protects the climbing areas from losing access. A new sport climbing area is developed for the event by Gerhart Hoerager, Jorg Verhoeven and their friends. The Petzl RocTrip offers a combination of routes and bouldering that covers both the old and new sectors. This also allows a wider range of athletes to participate. The rain sets in at the beginning, but very happily makes way for a blue sky. The rock dries, and the hungry climbers attack the granite. The herds of cattle become the mascot of the event, proving once again that climbers and farmers can live together in harmony. It is also an opportunity to welcome climbers from Central Europe, and even from farther regions, such as Iran.
