Introducing Petzl dynamic ropes

Petzl's new ropes reflect our desire to offer the highest quality, most innovative climbing products possible. Uniting the most advanced construction technology with years of climbing equipment and rope knowledge, we have developed a line of ropes that offer unsurpassed quality, durability and handling.

Fine-tuned design

Every Petzl rope is fine-tuned for the optimum combination of weight, number of falls, impact force, elongation, handling and durability. Each characteristic must be carefully balanced to take into account the activity for which the rope is going to be used. Ropes designed primarily for sport climbing must provide a soft catch and be durable, while not having too much elongation. With more general purpose ropes, durability - number of falls and sheath thickness - is the major focus of design criteria. Small diameter half ropes have their own set of design demands - while they must always be used in pairs, each one should individually be able to hold a fall. Each Petzl rope was specifically designed for your style of adventure, where ever it takes you.
