I recently got to work for Chicks -- my climbing partner, Vera, and I were base camp managers at Chicks Rock in Devil's Lake State Park. It's my home crag here in Wisconsin. It was SOOO fun to give back to a program, Chicks, which has meant so much to me for over 10 sessions I've attended. Okay, call me an addict. But imagine my delight that Kim was bringing her program to my back yard, my little crag here in the oft overlooked upper midwest. Now, I'm to be Base Camp Manager for CR at Red Rocks next week. I can't wait! Anybody reading this: sign up for Chicks Rock. It's magical -- Kim Reynolds knows how to put on a workshop that has an effect way beyond the excellent technical and climbing skills.
