Petzl RopeTrip’s first edition took place from October 5-7, 2012, at V.axess, Petzl’s official training center in Crolles, France. The goal of this challenge was to bring together rope access workers from around the world for a festival and the opportunity to share best practices and knowledge with peers. During the event we were able to broadcast a short “almost live” video... Now take a look at the full version of the first Petzl RopeTrip 2012!
A mutually beneficial atmosphere
The Petzl RopeTrip is the professional equivalent of the Petzl RocTrips. This year Petzl received assistance from EPIsûr for all preparation, safety and refereeing for the technical tasks. These very original tasks allowed 25 international teams to share both a fun and technically challenging moment together.
Professionals from many different countries, even those thousands of kilometers from home, had no problem donning helmet and harness for the weekend to come and “play”. Thirteen countries were represented: Germany, Belgium, Belarus, Bulgaria, Scotland, Spain, France, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Russia, Singapore, and Switzerland.
Over the course of the two days, teams of three took on real challenges through tasks that were both fun and technical: ropes courses, confined space rescues, hauling systems...
The goal is to organize the Petzl RopeTrip in different countries from one edition to another.
Stay tuned in order to participate or to simply watch these spectacular events that one day may take place near your home town!
