Mountaineering

Beyond the arctic circle, located between the 67th and 68th parallels north, the Norwegian Lofoten Archipelago, which means "foot of the lynx", is a little-known winter mountaineering paradise.

Ice falls, gullies, ridges - untouched first ascents on practically every peak on these pristine islands in winter.

The Slovene, Aljaz Anderle, has understood this and returns regularly to exploit the opportunities. Here during a trip in March 2011.
