Hello Jason, A principle concern is that a rope access technician's level of training is not, has not and cannot be sufficient to overcome the human reflex. 'Awareness training' is simply not enough to guarantee consistent responses in an emergency situation. Highly trained (rope access technicians), good aptitudes and technical abilities do not neccessarily guarantee predictable human responses - a key element to this issue.
