Our team of photographers on duty at the 2011 Petzl RocTrip in Gétù Valley, China brought back many great shots. A few months have passed since the event, it's now time to share a new exclusive photo gallery of climbing and lifestyle photos. We are all back home now after the Petzl Roc Trip in the Getu Valley.  There’s a lot to say about our experiences there. Almost too many overwhelming thoughts, memories, and emotions come to mind simultaneously, and it's proving difficult to form it all into a cohesive story. One thing’s for sure, however: we went on an adventure I doubt any of us will forget.

Petzl RocTrip 2011 : "A Drill Dream Team"

At a completely virgin site like Getu the problem of equipment was present in all its complexity. Before all the necessary gear could be sent, an experienced eye was needed to evaluate the quality and quantity of what might be needed.

Responsibility for the inventory fell to Erwan Le Lann who was supervised by Olivier Balma and assisted by Whan, a park ranger.

Never before has a Petzl RocTrip mixed together so much climbing and local culture in one simmering pot. We spiced it up with a few special ingredients: passion, fun, and shared experiences. The Petzl RocTrip 2010 in Mexico welcomed people from all corners of the world to the unique climbing destinations of El Chonta et Las Peñas de Jilotepec, with a stop at the Aztec pyramids of Teotihuacán.

Sasha DiGiulian joins the Petzl Athlete Team, pushes standards

Photo: © Magnus MidtbøA welcome addition to the Petzl Athlete Team, 18-year-old Sasha DiGiulian has spent the first months of 2011 re-adjusting difficulty standards for women’s sport climbing. Hailing from Alexandria, VA, Sasha picked up climbing 11 years ago, after her brother’s birthday party, when she was just 7 years old.
