Lanyards and energy absorbers
The link between the user and a structure
Lanyards must allow a worker to move about with maximum security and
without getting in the way.
There are two types of lanyards:
- lanyards for restraint and for work positioning:
- to prevent the worker from moving around in a zone where there is risk of falling
- to position the worker in the work area (when there is risk of falling, a fall arrest system must be used) - energy absorbers: to limit the impact transferred to the user during a fall.
