Connectors

The essential link in any safety system

To meet the many different needs encountered in the field, there is a wide selection of connectors. Based on its shape, size, opening capacity or locking system, each product is destined for a specific use.

Connectors are made of aluminum or steel and are designed for two distinct uses:

  • aluminum: Used on harnesses, at the ends of lanyards or for temporary anchors. Their low weight eases progression while their alloy ensures an optimal weight-to-strength ratio.
  • steel: Heavier than their aluminum counterparts, they are better adapted to more difficult conditions. These connectors are mainly used for fixed anchors or for connecting to metal structures.

To guarantee optimal efficiency, all aluminum Petzl carabiners use the Keylock system: the body / gate interface does not have a hook that could snag on anchors, ropes, harnesses, etc.
