Championnats de France à Pau

(Photo courtoisie: Charles Loury. Planetgrimpe.com) Le week-end dernier se déroulaient les championnats de France de difficulté 2008 à Pau. L'occasion pour moi de voir où j'en était dans ma préparation pour la saison de coupe du monde, qui débutera le 28 juin à Qinghaï, en Chine. Tout d'abord, bravo aux ouvreurs et aux organisateurs pour leur travail, c'était une compétition bien réussie avec une bonne mise en spectacle.

Smith Rock

What's new ? Smith Rock was a lengedary cliff for sport climbing in the late eigthies. What cimber hasn't dreamt of the line "Just do it" ? (5.14c) The First Ascent was made by JB Tribout in 1992....
"To bolt or not to be" is another really technical famous route where more than one climber has been shut down. JB did also the First Ascent in 1986... it was the first 5.14 in US...

First 8b+ on sight

Last week, I went with the french team to Cuenca (Spain), for a training course. The goal of this training course was to try hard routes on sight. We had bad luck, because it rained 4 days in the week, so we climbed under the rain, in the wind and the cold... It was really sticky.
