A Very Strong Team

The team gathered on Saturday morning and boarded their
coach. 24 climbers, including some of Britain’s
best, Nick Sellars, Ryan Pasquil, Neil Mawson, Paul Smitton, Sam Whittacker and
Myself. That’s a fair collection of E9’s and 8c’s in there. The destination?
Not a day’s climbing! Too hot for that, and way too humid. Instead it was an
all day dance festival – ‘Cocoon in the park’.

But his perseverance and autonomy nevertheless enabled him to follow a "normal" and successful schooling. It was time: after about 3,5 months on the road the time was right to start driving north, back to Sweden. The heat was rising -a good sign it was time to start looking for cooler temps somewhere else! Also, you never get that real rest on the road, I was missing my own bed! After around 100 routes of 8a-8c+ done on the trip it was time to change the rythm. I want to do some traing to gain some more power and I want to do (or at least try) all the routes I bolted last year.

10MILA , the story of a victory

Last May in Sweden, the first important gathering of the season for orientation runners grouped together 9,000 participants and 20,000 spectators. The men ran over 110 km by night, in teams of 10 relay runners.

Natural Games: Full House for the Petzl Team

Great blue sky and intense heat were on the plate for this year's edition of the Vibram Natural Games. The return to normal summer conditions surprised most of us after such a cold and rainy spring in southern France !!! Sport Climbing, Bouldering, Slackline, Freestyle Kayak, Paragliding, downhill and dirt mountain bike contests were all blessed by the blue sky and athletes heated up the show for the great pleasure of the huge crowd of spectators. News from Himalaya

"The YEP's and I have parted company now. After doing the summit 'Pangaea Peak', they joined myself and Köbi to the base camp of Broad Peak where they were able to see the K2 Memorial - a touching memorial for all those alpinists who had lost their lives to the mountain. Our last night together with the Young Explorer's was spent in a large dome tent where we chatted about our adventure and shared our emotions and impressions of the last two weeks we had spent together. Now it is just myself and Köbi who are left here in the high altitudes of the Himalayas.

2010 Teva Mountain Games - Bouldering World Cup

For the third year running, Vail, Colorado, played host to an IFSC Bouldering World Cup (click here for full results). The event, the only of its kind in the United States, was again a part of the Teva Mountain Games, which brings together atheltes and enthusiasts from across the outdoor world for one weekend every year.
