More than 50 years after the first explorations by Fernand Petzl and his companions, the Gouffre Berger in the Vercors massif, France, remains a site not to be overlooked by any explorer.

This is especially true for the climbers and mountaineers from Team Petzl present in August 2011 for the descent into the famous "-1000".
