VIDEO - Rockin' Cuba, the latest movie from Baraka Flims

Striking a subtle balance between a musical and a pure sport climbing movie, Baraka Films provides us with its latest gem, the fruit of many years of labor. The movie leaves no detail to chance; everything fits smoothly and seamlessly together. The movie's musicians accompany the climbers in an intricate dance that pushes the genre of musical films to new heights.

This is first and foremost the story of six climbers traveling to Cuba to put up new sport routes. Mickaël Fuselier and Nina Caprez, stars from numerous Petzl films, are joined by Enzo Oddo, Mélissa Le Nevé, Cédric Lachat and Sébastien Boussogne. This fun-loving group bolted an entire area of new routes in the Viñales Valley, whereas another team set out on an entirely different adventure. Vladimir Cellier, film-editor and musician for Baraka Films, recently produced and directed the Petzl RocTrip China 2011 movie. This time around he filmed a wide-variety of musicians and settings to bring together the movie’s characters through music.
