Hello 5 Dave, In this case it is necessary to have a link between the sit harness and the shoulder harness. We highly recommend the use of two different devices one as main rope clamp another one as a backup system. As you are doing this rigging to climb alone, the management of the prussik knot can be very uncomfortable as you are going up it will need some manual actions to slide it up.
