Unsrewing the screws on the Modular Head of Quark

Hi, I am trying to take off the hammer from my axe, but when I try to unscrew the nuts at the head, they are super tight. I tried not to force it. are the screws threaded the conventional right-handed way, or left-handed? Thanks
