QUESTION ABOUT PETZL TAC TIKKA PLUS HEADLAMP

I recently purchased 2 Petzl Tac Tikka Plus headlamps for the purpose of using them on our upcoming trip to climb Kilimanjaro. My question is: am I able to use lithium batteries in this headlamp...is it compatible...if not, why?
